Stranger and stranger.
I just found out my final marks today. Something really #$^%ing weird is going on, because I have solid "A"s in all my classes, meaning my GPA is staying at 4.0.
Of course, you might be thinking "What's wrong with that? "A"s are good, right? And a GPA of 4 is even better!"
Well... in theory, yes, but something smells fishy.
Media Design and Javascript were the only classes were I had a good idea of my current standing. I was doing fairly well in those.
BUT I knew my Photography marks sucked. The projects that were worth about... ::does some quick math:: 45% of my final mark totalled only a "B" and Kevin had told me that he didn't like my final poster. So... how in heaven's name did I get a "A"?
I'm guessing that a bell curve was used for grading. Kevin had mentioned them before in JavaScript and I was told Dean has used them before in the past. This would explain the sudden jump. Or, maybe all the talking behind Kevin's back finally reached him. The second-years were well aware that the first-years hated Kevin's marks.
I don't know. I never seem know.
And another thing to whine about: There's a new booster set to the Neopets Trading Card Game and even though it's space themed, there's no Grimilix card. Yeah, Grimilix had the "Secret Passage" card in the base set, but I wanted a hero/villain card for him. Then I'd just buy that card and Magax's character card and call it quits.
BTW, why are Wockies are fire type pet in the card game? They never really struck me as a fire-ish pet. Maybe an earth type, but not a fire.
